Rockstar opened Grand Theft Auto VI pre-orders, revealed the game’s editions, confirmed the price, and still managed to avoid showing Trailer 3.
For most games, that would be strange.
For GTA 6, it almost feels normal.
Right now, there is still no official release date for the third GTA 6 trailer. Rockstar has not announced a showcase, teased a countdown, or given fans a clear signal. But that has not stopped the community from trying to predict when the next major reveal could happen.
And the most interesting window may be mid-July.
More specifically, fans are watching the period around the World Cup final on July 19. The logic is simple: if Rockstar wants the largest possible global audience, there may be no better moment to dominate social media.
A GTA 6 trailer does not need a traditional marketing stage. It does not need a livestream. It does not need a console showcase. Rockstar can post one video and instantly take over YouTube, X, TikTok, Reddit, and every gaming forum on the internet.
That is why mid-July feels like a real possibility.
But it is not the only one.

The lack of a traditional physical disc created another controversy. And through all of that, Rockstar still did not have to show raw gameplay.

That may also be why Trailer 3 could be treated as its own separate event.

The less Rockstar shows, the more people talk.
Every missing trailer becomes a theory. Every store listing becomes a clue. Every screenshot gets analyzed. Every pricing update becomes a debate. Even silence becomes marketing.
So, when is Trailer 3 coming?
The honest answer is that nobody outside Rockstar knows. Mid-July feels like the strongest window, especially if Rockstar wants to ride the global attention around the World Cup final. Late July or early August also makes sense if the company wants to build momentum before Gamescom. But Rockstar could just as easily drop Trailer 3 on a random Tuesday with no warning at all.
That would be completely on-brand.
Right now, global GTA 6 fans are basically in detective mode. They are watching Rockstar’s social channels, tracking retailer pages, arguing over editions, debating the death of physical discs, comparing global prices, and refreshing YouTube like Trailer 3 could appear at any second.
Some fans think the next trailer is imminent. Others believe Rockstar will wait until it can completely dominate the conversation again. And some are simply asking the biggest question of all:
How long can Rockstar keep selling GTA 6 on trust alone before finally showing gameplay?
Whatever the answer is, Trailer 3 is no longer just another trailer.
