Phil 'Cassidy'

Overview

Phil, widely speculated to be Phil Cassidy, is a supporting character in GTA 6 (GTA VI), revealed in Trailer 2 running Phil's Ammu-Nation in a TV commercial.

The original Phil Cassidy was a heavy-set gun store owner who appeared across GTA Vice City, Vice City Stories, Liberty City Stories, and GTA 3, working alongside protagonists like Tommy Vercetti and Victor Vance.

Strictly speaking, this can't be the same man: the older games belong to Rockstar's 3D Universe while GTA 6 sits in the HD Universe, Cassidy would be far older by now, and he famously lost an arm in Vice City while the Trailer 2 Phil has both.

Still, many fans argue Rockstar wouldn't showcase a similar-looking gun store owner named Phil in Trailer 2 unless it mattered — and given the studio's habit of bringing Cassidy back whenever possible (he's even name-dropped in Manhunt), this may well be an alternate-universe take on the character.
