Six officially revealed regions make up the state of Leonida. Each badge below shows how reliable the details are — from Rockstar-confirmed facts to community predictions.
Vice City
CONFIRMED
Leonida's neon-lit metropolis and the largest playable city in the series, modeled on modern-day Miami. Its districts run from the oceanfront hotel strip of Vice Beach to the dense streets of Little Cuba, each with its own character. Officially revealed through both trailers and Rockstar's screenshot sets.
Leonida Keys
CONFIRMED
A tropical island chain stretching south from the mainland, GTA 6 (GTA VI)'s take on the Florida Keys. Causeways link islands of fishing villages, shallow turquoise water, and quiet coves. Jason and Lucia's starting safehouse is located here, as seen in Trailer 2.
Ambrosia
CONFIRMED
A rural industrial town in Leonida's heartland, where the Allied Crystal sugar refinery keeps the local economy running. Rockstar's official description pairs old-school American industry with a biker gang that handles nearly everything else. Individual landmarks inside the region are still being mapped.
Port Gellhorn
CONFIRMED
A faded resort town on Leonida's Gulf coast, officially described as the state's forgotten shoreline. Shuttered attractions and cheap motels frame a rougher local economy of dirt bikes and back-lot hustle. Revealed through Rockstar's official screenshot set.
Grassrivers
PREDICTED
Vast sawgrass wetlands covering Leonida's southern interior — the game's answer to the Everglades. Airboat routes cut between mangroves where gators are only the most famous of the things waiting below the surface. Community analysis of leaked footage estimates the region's share of the map, though exact boundaries remain unofficial.
Mount Kalaga
CONFIRMED
A forested national park along Leonida's northern edge, built for hunting, fishing, and off-road trails. Canyons and winding rivers cut through backwoods where, per Rockstar's official description, mystics and recluses live far from government eyes. Revealed through the official screenshot set.
HOW WE CLASSIFY INFORMATION
CONFIRMED
Directly sourced from official Rockstar materials — trailers, screenshots, and official descriptions.
LEAKED
Based on leaked development footage and materials. High confidence, but unofficial and subject to change.
PREDICTED
Community analysis based on map topology and cross-referencing. Speculative — treat as a working hypothesis.
Quick answers about the map, where its data comes from, and the world of Leonida.
How large is the GTA 6 map compared to GTA 5?
Rockstar hasn't published official figures. Community analysis of the trailers and leaked footage estimates roughly 125 km² of land — close to twice the size of GTA 5's map — spread across six regions with no loading screens.
How many distinct regions does the map have?
Six: Vice City, the Leonida Keys, Grassrivers, Mount Kalaga, Port Gellhorn, and Ambrosia. All six were officially revealed through Rockstar's screenshot sets, and each region card above carries a badge showing how reliable its finer details are.
What is the Yanis build?
Yanis is the name of this map's dataset. Each numbered build (V11, V12, V13...) is a snapshot of marker positions and region boundaries at a point in time, updated whenever new evidence appears. The changelog below lists exactly what changed in every build.
Are interiors included in the map data?
Not yet — the map currently tracks exterior locations only. Leaked material points to hundreds of enterable interiors in the final game, from nightclubs to pawn shops, and verified ones will be added once official information or the game itself confirms them.
How often is the map updated?
Whenever there's something worth adding — a new trailer, official screenshots, or community research that holds up to verification. Every change ships as a new Yanis build and is recorded in the changelog, so you can always see what's new since your last visit.
Every map update, logged by build — new markers, boundary revisions, and data corrections.
